About a Family Turcq

Here follow some data J-P Turque  (Frenchman) found about a family Turcq:

This family was very close to the King court because it seems that Christian

was soldier in Versailles. It seems also that this man was from Switzerland.

I have to verify but I think that to be part of a 'regiment suisse', you

must come from switzerland.

Christian TURCQ ( born ? death between 1728 and 1733) 'Suisse' (soldier)

Married with Marie MARGUERITE TIRABOLA ( born ? death 1737)

They had 10 children

Catherine TURCQ born 1692 death ?

Joseph Christian TURCQ born 1693 death ?

Marie Marguerite TURCQ born 1695 death ?

Jacques TURCQ born 1698 death ?

Françoise Renée TURCQ born 1700 death 1700 (16 days)

Jean Léonard TURCQ born 1704 death ?

Louis TURCQ born 1706 *

Jean-Jacques TURCQ born 1709 death 1711

Louise TURCQ born 1712 death 1789

Marie Anne TURCQ born 1714

* Louis TURCQ married in 1734 with Ildeverde MARTIN ( born 1711 death ?)

1 children

Nicolas TURCQ born 1735 death ?

This man was beheaded (guillotined ?) because he fought against the

republican army after the revolution.

Louis TURCQ Soldier , from Bergues-St-Vinox Departement of Nord was

condemned to death penalty on may 14th 1793 by a military court in ARRAS .

This man spent some times in a military hospital in Paris.

Christian TURCQ ALEMAND was received in hotel des invalides in fébruary 2nd

1719.

It seems that this man was belonging to a country (Suabe) which was may be

under the french control at this time or he was a mercenary.

So I think that ALEMAND was not a part of his name but a mention of his

nationalty. A German in french is 'un allemand'.

A lot of soldier ! !
