Date: 1/7/2005 2:12:31 PM > Subject: A Turk in America before Columbus
> > Dear Nancy and Tony. I found interesting information about a man who
> found America. He was a Turk called Tyrker or Tyrkir. Some in old Europa
believe that he was a German, some say he was a Pole, even Serbs say that
he was a slav. Our Hungarian brothers believe that he was Hungarian.
Everybody tries to promote it for their nation. Poor Turks have nothing to
say. Ours was a huge empire ruled the world 2000 years. Please read the
following web pages for more information http://users.cwnet.com/millenia/leiferic.htm
but here is the article A
Hungarian (named Tyrker) in America before Columbus!
The Navajo Turkey clan
is "Tashíí Diné é" . When I was a high school principal,
the Navajo kids called me Dr. Tashíí. This wasn't disrespectful, but rather
was simply a play on my name. Given the fact that "Tashíí" is a
Navajo clan name, it actually occurs within their culture as a name. The Turkey
was the last animal to escape from the flood. That is why the tip of its tail
feathers are white. They were dipped in the flood.
It
was a Navajo, who when hearing of the Taj Mahal, made the observation that
it was where the Tashíí lived. "Diné é" means "clan".

Last week Barbara
and I were in Washington, DC. We went by the new World War II
Memorial. I have since imported a number of veterans from their
site. I have established that there were 25 American men with the
surname TURK who were Killed in Action in the Second World War. I
was surprised that there were so many. One of them was KIA at Pearl
Harbor
(TURK,
