İSTANBUL - Polonya kökenli bir ABD'li olan Tony Turk, tüm dünyada 'Türk'
soyadının izini sürdü. Amerika'nın Sesi Radyosu'nun haberine göre Tony
Turk, Antarktika hariç beş kıtada Türk soyadından türemiş 472 farklı
soyadı saptadı.
Tony Turk, araştırmasında arşivlerden yaklaşık 90 bin belge inceleyerek
50 bin kişilik bir liste hazırlamış. Listede Türk ve Türkel'in yanı sıra
aynı anlamdaki Türki, Tuerck, Tuercke, Tuerk, Tuerke, Turck, Türck,
Türcke, Turcott, Turcotte, Turcq, Tureck, Turek, Turkel, Turkheim,
Turkington, Turkoglu, Turkus, Turque, Von Turk, Le Turc, Le Turcq, Le
Turque, MacTurk, McTurk. adları var. ABD'deki Kızılderililerde bile Türk
soyadı çıkmış.
Turk, büyük dedesinin Polonya'dan ABD'ye geldiğinde soyadını 'ü'
harfiyle yazdığını ancak, İngilizce'de bu harf olmadığı için 'u' harfi
kullanıldığını anlattı. Tony'nin soyadı aslında Polonya'da Turkey adlı
bir köyle bağlantılıymış.
Tony Turk, Antarktika dışında, üzerinde insan yaşayan her kıtada Türk
soyadına rastlandığını belirtirken; "Belki Antarktika'da vardı ama ben
bulamadım" dedi. Tony Turk'un İnternetteki 'www.turkgenealogy.com'
adresli web sayfası projeyle ilgili bilgilerle dolu. Diyelim ki soyadı
Türkel olan bir Türk vatandaşısınız ve Brezilyalı bir Türkel ile
akrabalığınız var mı diye merak ediyorsunuz. Binlerce kişi bu amaçla DNA
analizi yaptırmış. DNA analizi sonucu akraba olmayan yedi ayrı grup
çıkmış. Gruplardan bazıları Ortadoğu ve Türkiye'yle bağlantılı. Bazıları
da eski Osmanlı topraklarında yaşayan 'Turk' soyadlılar. |

internette buldu.Onları biraraya getiren kişi ise yıllardır
soyadını ve kökle rini
araştıran Toni Turk adlı Amerikalı oldu. Toni Turk
araştırmasında Turk soyadı ve tarihçesiyle ilgili
bulduklarını bir internet sitesinde yayınladı.Ardından
soyağacı araştırma sitelerinden diğer 'Turk'
lere ulaştı.Sonunda binlerce kilometre uzaktaki Turk'ler
www.turkgenealogy.com
sitesinde buluştu. Toni Turk 22 bin üyesi olan sitesi için 'Bu
sayı sitemize kayıtlı Turkler'in sayısı. Ama
gerçek sayı çok daha fazla olabilir' dedi. Peki bu Turk soyadı

They are
not actually citizens of Turkey. They cant speak Turkish and have
never been to Turkey. But their family roots date back to the Turks,
Ottomans and even to the Seljuk Turks ... For this reason, they have
surnames "Turk". From America to Holland, from South Africa to
Norway, from England to Virgin Islands, from all over the world, all the
"Turk"s found each other on the internet. The person who
brought them together is an American, Toni Turk who had been searching
the origins of his surname and his family roots for many years. Toni
Turk published the findings of his investigation on the surname
"Turk" and pertinent history on an internet website. Following
this, he reached out to other "Turk"s using online genealogy
search sites. In the end, "TURK"s separated by thousands of
kilometers met at the www.turkgenealogy.com
website. The database on this website lists over 22,000 Turk family
members, Toni Turk says, "That is the current number of
"Turk"s in my database, but the actual number may be much more
than this". The question here is how was the surname
"Turk" spread all over the world?

Meluncans
visit Turkey
The American Meluncans, who believe that the Ottoman
groups who immigrated from Cesme 500 years ago were their ancestors,
came to Turkey once more to visit their "fatherland" Cesme.
Meluncans, who settled in the United States of America and whose
ancestors are Turks from Cesme in Turkey, arrived in Turkey. The
delegation, headed by Brent Kennedy was met with flowers at the Ataturk
Airport by the Regional Director of Agriculture Yalcin Manav. Afterwards
they flew on to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport to leave for Cesme, where
they were welcomed by Cesme Mayor Nuri Ertan and a group of officials
from Cesme. Mayor Ertan said in his welcoming message that close
friendship marked relations between the people of Cesme and the Melucans,
and added: "We are going to exchange students between Cesme and the

Toni and Nancy were contacted by a lady reporter is doing a series of
stories on Turk: Ms. Burcu Yakar, a young reporter
from a publication in Turkey called the
SABAH daily did the stories. This
reporter is writing
a series of interviews-articles about the surname TURK. The
headline will be "Turks around the world, they are not Turkis, they didn't
see Turkey, they can't speak Turkish" Heros

To Turk Researchers:
I have found thousands of stamps (symbols) at least ten thousand symbols.. The
symbols are very important authentic evidences in cultures of peoples.
Especially for the Turks, they have mythological specifications more than being
both the sign of independence and ornament-art material. For example in
Oguz Kagan Legend, one of the creature legends of Turks, it has been said that
Turks are coming from 24 tribes. The symbols of these 24 Oguz tribes showed in
App. 2. and this stamps of 24 Oguz tribes are still being used by Turk peoples
either as it was or as modified.
